A740KNS Aluminium Key-Lock Straight-Gate Carabiner
A740KNS is a 35 g aluminium alloy carabiner with a key-lock nose and straight gate, rated at 25 kN major axis, 8 kN minor axis and 9 kN gate open. It is a lightweight bolt-end carabiner for quickdraws and a racking carabiner for climbing gear.

A740KNS is the straight-gate model of the A740 family and is listed with the highest major-axis figure in the group: 25 kN, against 24 kN for its siblings. Minor-axis strength is 8 kN, gate-open strength is 9 kN, the gate opens to 20 mm and the 94.5 x 57.8 mm aluminium alloy frame weighs 35 g.
A straight solid gate is the standard choice for the bolt end of a quickdraw, as it resists being levered open by the hanger. The key-lock nose clears the hanger without catching, and the low weight keeps a full set of quickdraws light. It also works well as a racking carabiner for nuts, cams and other equipment.
Pair it with A740KNB or A740WR on the rope end for a matched quickdraw. As a non-locking connector, A740KNS is not for belaying or critical single-point use. In an RFQ, give the certification target, the sling or assembly, colours and marking. Power Honour can produce A740KNS under a private label or adapt it to a supplied drawing.
