AR026-1 Aluminium Double Back Buckle

The AR026-1 belongs to the AR026 series of aluminium alloy double back buckles and is made 3 mm thick. Its photo shows a narrow slot above a wide window, with a shaped lower edge, a layout typical of double back harness buckles.

Buckles of this kind are fitted to waist belts and leg loops of sit and full body harnesses used in climbing, rope access, arborist work and industrial positioning. Anodised aluminium keeps weight low and allows colour coding, for example to separate waist and leg adjustments on the same harness. The design of the strap end, its length and any keeper are as important as the buckle itself in preventing the webbing from working loose.

No breaking strength or dimensions are published for the AR026-1, so request a drawing and define the strength requirement, then test the finished harness. Include webbing width and thickness, anodising colour and marking in the RFQ, and indicate whether the AR026-2 from the same series is also required. For brand owners, the AR026-1 can be supplied as OEM or private-label hardware, with changes to a drawing discussed at quotation stage.
