A2785 Aluminium Double Slot Buckle, 15 kN, 5 mm

At 5 mm, the A2785 is the thickest aluminium double slot buckle in the group, rated at 15 kN breaking strength. The catalogue photos label two mirror-image versions, A2785-L and A2785-R, which lets a harness use a matched pair, one on each side of the body.

Handed buckles are useful where the shape of the plate follows the body, for example on leg loops, hip straps or shoulder straps that need to sit flat and comfortable on both sides. The extra thickness adds stiffness and bearing area for the webbing, while aluminium keeps the weight down for climbing, rope access, arborist and industrial harnesses.
