A403 Aluminium Full-Circle Flat D-Ring, 30 kN

Rated at a minimum breaking strength of 30 kN, the A403 is the strongest aluminium D-ring listed in this category. It is an aluminium alloy part with an anodised standard finish, and it shares its full-circle flat description with the 402 and 404, which are drop forged in alloy steel.

Harness manufacturers use a ring like this where a strong, light anchor point is needed on the webbing: dorsal or front attachment points on full body harnesses, rescue and rope access harnesses, and work positioning belts. The 30 kN figure gives a wide margin for designs that must meet demanding strength tests, but the finished harness, not the D-ring alone, is what gets certified, so the complete assembly still needs testing.
