222 Forged Alloy Steel Twin Tongue Buckle, 2 in

The 222 is a tongue buckle with two tongues, sized for 2 in webbing. It is forged from alloy steel, heat treated, and rated at a minimum breaking load of 4000 lbs (17.8 kN).

Tongue buckles work like a trouser belt: the tongue passes through a grommet punched in the webbing, so the strap length is set by the grommet chosen. The twin tongue version engages two grommets at once, spreading the load and adding redundancy compared with the single-tongue 221. This style is common on the leg straps and waist belts of North American fall protection harnesses and on body belts, because the user can see at a glance that it is engaged.

Buyers should specify the webbing width and thickness, the grommet size and spacing the tongues must fit, the finish and any marking. Dimensions should be taken from the drawing. The 222 can carry a customer's brand as OEM or private-label hardware, and Power Honour can modify it to a drawing.
