The 201 is a sliding adjuster buckle on a sheet alloy steel body, zinc plated, weighing 2.8 oz (80 g). It is rated at a minimum breaking load of 4000 lbs (17.8 kN), and it is stated to meet ANSI Z359.1 or CSA Z259.1.
Without the spring of the 202, the 201 is simpler and 10 g lighter; the sliding bar, knurled in the product photo, grips the webbing when the strap is loaded. Adjusters of this type are used on harness leg, chest and shoulder straps and on positioning belts, mainly for products sold into North American markets where the cited standards apply.
Buyers should confirm which standard and edition their certification must reference and test the buckle with the intended webbing. Specify webbing width and thickness, finish and marking in the RFQ; dimensions are on the drawing.
