SS834 Stainless Steel Double-Lock Side Release Buckle

Both the body and the buckle of the SS834 are stainless steel, and the buckle uses a double lock system: as the product illustrations show, opening takes two actions, pressing a button and then pulling the two side tabs. It accepts 45 mm webbing, a width common on harness waist and leg straps and on heavy-duty belts, and weighs 180 g.

The double lock is the reason to choose this buckle: it adds a second safeguard against unintentional opening on wide straps that are loaded or rubbed during work. Stainless steel also suits wet, salty or frequently cleaned environments. No minimum breaking strength is published for this buckle, so a buyer who intends the SS834 for fall protection or other safety-critical equipment should define the required rating and confirm it by testing.
