A838 Forged Aluminium Auto Side Release Buckle

The A838 combines a drop forged aluminium alloy frame with a sliding bar adjuster in SS304 stainless steel, so the buckle both connects the strap and sets its length. The frame measures 59.1 mm long and 59.2 mm wide, is anodised, and is designed for 45 mm webbing. The published breaking strength is 18 kN / 9 kN and the weight is 82 g.

Forty-five millimetre webbing is a common width for harness waist belts, leg loops and work positioning belts, which is where an adjustable auto side release buckle earns its place: quick to connect, and adjustable without a separate slider. Because two strength figures are given, buyers should confirm with Power Honour which load direction or configuration each value applies to before matching the buckle to a harness design.

An RFQ should include the anodising colour, the webbing thickness and any marking or packaging requirement. The A838 can be supplied as OEM or private-label hardware, and the frame can be adapted to a customer drawing.
