A301KTL-3 is the longer of the two aluminium ANSI frames in the range, measuring 147.1 x 82.3 mm, with a triple-lock gate and a 17 mm gate opening. The listed minimum tensile strength is 35 kN and the minimum gate and side-load strengths are 3,600 lbs (16 kN). It is listed as meeting ANSI/ASSE Z359.12-2009 and CSA Z259.12-11.
The product photos and drawing show an integral eye at the base of the frame. An eye of this kind lets a lanyard, rope or webbing be permanently fixed at the bottom of the connector so that it cannot rotate into the gate, while the main basket is clipped to an anchor or harness point. The triple-lock gate needs three deliberate movements to open.
The cited editions of both standards have been revised since (ANSI/ASSP Z359.12-2019 and CSA Z259.12-16); confirm the edition current production is certified to.
