382Z(3600LBS) is a large steel carabiner made from 11 mm bar, with a 45 kN breaking strength and a 26 mm gate opening. Measuring 125 x 80 mm, it is the largest of the Z-series steel connectors in the ANSI carabiner range and suits anchor and lanyard connections in industrial work.

382Z(3600LBS) is formed from 11 mm steel bar into a 125 x 80 mm frame. It has a 26 mm gate opening and a listed breaking strength of 45 kN. The product photo shows a pear-style frame with a gold-coloured finish and a knurled locking sleeve.
The wide opening and large frame make it suitable for clipping around bigger anchor points, structural members, D-rings and lanyard terminations, the kind of connections found in construction, tower climbing, utility work and rescue. Steel adds weight compared with aluminium but resists abrasion and impact well on industrial sites.
The model designation carries a 3600LBS marking, the figure associated with the 3,600 lbf (16 kN) gate-strength requirement of ANSI Z359.12. The specification itself lists the breaking strength only, so ask for gate-strength data, the locking mechanism and the certificate and edition of the standard for the batch you order.
