322Z(3600LBS) Steel Carabiner, 40 kN

322Z(3600LBS) is formed from 10 mm steel bar into a 110 x 62 mm frame, with a 21 mm gate opening and a listed breaking strength of 40 kN. The product photo shows a D-style frame with a gold-coloured finish and a knurled locking sleeve.

Its proportions sit between the large 382Z and 372Z models and the slim 352Z. The 10 mm bar keeps weight lower than the 11 mm models while still giving a 40 kN rating, which suits connecting a lanyard to a harness D-ring, attaching positioning straps or linking components in rescue and work-at-height kits. Steel tolerates abrasion and rough handling on industrial sites better than aluminium.
