Product details

SS4823 combines a closed pipe-type turnbuckle body with a jaw at one end and a terminal at the other, made from AISI 316 stainless steel. Six thread sizes are listed by D1: M5, M6, M8, M10, M12 and M16. L1 runs from 80 to 190 mm and L2 from 155 to 375 mm, and the drawing also gives D2 (5.5 to 16.0 mm), D3 (2.7 to 8.3 mm), A (6.5 to 17.0 mm), D (5 to 16 mm) and H (10 to 26 mm).

Building the terminal into the turnbuckle removes a separate end fitting from the assembly: the wire is terminated at one end and the jaw pins to a padeye, post bracket or tang at the other. That makes the SS4823 a common choice for stainless wire balustrades, deck railings, shade sails and marine wire runs. The terminal attachment method and the wire construction should be agreed with the supplier, and working loads confirmed for the application, as none are listed.
