SS4820 Stainless Steel Jaw and Jaw Turnbuckle

SS4820 is a jaw and jaw turnbuckle, or rigging screw, listed in seven sizes with threads d1 from M5 to M16. Each size has a minimum and maximum length: 130 to 190 mm for M5, 140 to 210 mm for M6, 165 to 240 mm for M8, 190 to 270 mm for M10, 245 to 360 mm for M12, 260 to 385 mm for M14 and 310 to 450 mm for M16. The drawing also gives d2 (5 to 12.7 mm) and m (7 to 16 mm), and the product photograph shows a closed, tubular body. The part sits in the stainless steel range; confirm grade 304 or 316 when quoting.

Jaws at both ends pin directly onto eye terminals, padeyes, chain plates and tangs, which suits balustrade and fencing wires, shade sails, sailboat rigging and other tensioned stainless systems. Turning the body draws both ends in or out together to set tension. It carries no published load rating, so the working load must be established for the application.
