SRL-10M Self-Retracting Lifeline, 10 m Galvanised Wire Rope

The SRL-10M packs 10 m of 4 mm galvanised wire rope into a high-impact-resistant plastic housing and weighs 4.6 kg. Its published performance figures are a minimum breaking strength of 12 kN and a maximum dynamic force of 6 kN, and it is stated to meet EN 360.

Ten metres is a versatile working length: long enough for most roof, mezzanine, steelwork and plant maintenance jobs from one overhead anchor, yet light enough to install and move between work areas. Wire rope tolerates abrasion, grease and grit better than textile lines, which is why cable blocks are common in construction and heavy industry. The plastic housing protects the drum and brake from knocks.

Buyers should specify the connector to be fitted at the line end and at the anchor, the housing colour, labelling, and the inspection interval to be stated in the user instructions.
