SS627-78 Stainless Steel Rope Grab, 16 mm Rope

The SS627-78 is a stainless steel rope grab with a self-coloured finish, made for 16 mm rope and listed for use with synthetic ropes. Stainless steel needs no plating, so there is no coating to wear through in service.

Rope grabs in stainless steel are typically specified for lifelines on ships and offshore installations, docks and harbour structures, wastewater plants and chemical sites, where salt or chemicals would quickly attack zinc-plated steel. A 16 mm synthetic lifeline is a heavy, durable rope often chosen for these settings.

Ask for the eye size, dimensions, weight, stainless grade and the standard the device is tested to, and confirm the exact rope it is designed for, because a rope grab must be used with a compatible rope to lock reliably.
