Product details

SS627-2 is made from stainless steel and left self-coloured, with no plating to wear or flake. It is sized for 16 mm rope and is intended for synthetic ropes. A 2 in eye provides the attachment point for the user's connector or lanyard.

Stainless rope grabs are chosen where plated steel would corrode quickly: marine and offshore work, coastal construction, water treatment, food processing and chemical plants. The large 2 in eye gives room for a sizeable connector or a lanyard termination.

Before specifying, confirm the rope construction the grab is designed for, since a rope grab is only reliable with the rope it was intended to clamp. Ask for weight, dimensions, the stainless grade and the standard to which the device is tested. Model SS627-78 is listed for the same 16 mm rope.
