Product details
The AHY-632 is made from aluminium alloy with a standard anodised finish and has an eye for attaching a connector or lanyard. It weighs 220 g and is produced in two rope sizes: AHY-632-12 for 12 mm rope and AHY-632-16 for 16 mm rope. Both are intended for synthetic ropes.
At 220 g, AHY-632 is roughly a third to half the weight of the steel rope grabs with eyes in this range, which run from 442 g to 625 g. That difference is felt when a rope grab is carried up a structure or moved between lifelines several times a day, for example in roofing, tower maintenance and inspection work.
Order the variant that matches your lifeline diameter exactly, and confirm the rope construction the grab is designed for, since rope grabs depend on a compatible rope to lock reliably.
