A525-2 Aluminium Rocker Rope Grab with Manual Lock

A525-2 is made from aluminium with an anodised finish and measures 122 x 65 x 40 mm. It works on rope from 10.5 to 12.7 mm in diameter. The device follows the user up and down the rope automatically, and adds a manual locking function so it can be fixed in place on the line. Breaking strength depends on the rope diameter used.

A525-2 is listed as meeting EN 353-2, the European standard for guided type fall arresters including a flexible anchor line. In practice that means a worker on a vertical rope lifeline can climb or descend without repositioning the device by hand, while the grab locks if a fall occurs. The manual lock is useful when the worker wants to hold position on the line. Typical uses are ladders, towers, roofs, tanks and structures with a temporary or permanent rope lifeline.
