A525 Anodised Aluminium Rocker Rope Grab, EN 353-2

The A525 is made from aluminium and anodised. It is designed for rope diameters between 10.5 and 12.7 mm, and its breaking strength depends on the rope diameter used. It is listed as meeting EN 353-2.

EN 353-2 covers guided type fall arresters including a flexible anchor line, the familiar arrangement of a rope lifeline hung from an anchor with a device that travels on it and connects to the user's harness. A rocker design pivots on the rope and clamps when loaded, giving a fall-arrest connection for work on ladders, towers, roofs, silos and structures where a rope lifeline is rigged.

A related version, A525-2, adds a manual locking function and has published dimensions of 122 x 65 x 40 mm. For either, the conformity of an EN 353-2 device applies with the anchor line it was tested on, so confirm the approved rope type, diameter and length, and any connector or lanyard length limits, before building your product.
