606-12 Zinc-Plated Steel Rope Grab, 12 mm Rope

606-12 is made from steel, with a standard finish of yellow or zinc plating, and is sized for 12 mm rope. It is specified for use with synthetic ropes, so it is intended for fibre lifelines rather than wire rope.

A rope grab of this type rides on a vertical lifeline anchored above the work area. The worker connects to it, usually through a lanyard or energy absorber, and the device grips the rope to stop a fall.
