7353S Stainless Steel Square Quick Link, 3.5-16 mm

The 7353S is a square quick link, or maillon, with a threaded sleeve that closes the gap. Material can be chosen between stainless steel 304 and 316; 316 contains molybdenum and is the usual choice where salt water is present. The size table lists eleven thicknesses from 3.5 mm to 16 mm, with a safe working load from 150 kg at 3.5 mm to 2700 kg at 16 mm and a breaking load from 750 kg to 13500 kg, a constant 5:1 ratio between breaking load and SWL. On parachutes and paragliders, small square links are used to connect line groups to risers, where the square shape keeps several lines neatly side by side. Larger sizes are used in general rigging, marine fittings and as permanent links in chain and wire assemblies.
