Product details

A swageless terminal is fitted to the end of a wire rope by hand tools rather than a swaging press, which makes it practical for on-site installation and later adjustment. The S312/8 combines that swageless rope connection with a threaded section and a fork end. It is made of stainless steel, supplied in a self-colored finish, and has a minimum breaking strength of 22 kN.

In horizontal lifelines, a fork terminal connects the cable to an end anchor, tensioner or shock absorber with a pin, while the thread allows length adjustment. The same type of terminal is used in balustrade cables, architectural rigging and marine standing rigging.

Buyers should confirm the wire size and construction the terminal fits, as well as the pin diameter and thread. Assembly should follow the manufacturer's instructions, and a lifeline using it should be designed by a competent person. The S312/8 can be supplied as OEM or private label, or adapted to a drawing.
