SS251 316 Stainless Steel Swivel Eye Snap
The SS251 is a swivel eye snap hook made from AISI 316 stainless steel, in three sizes from No.1 (5/8 in.) to No.3 (7/8 in.). The swivel eye lets the attached line rotate freely, which makes it a common choice for halyards, mooring lines and leads.

Product details
SS251 is a snap hook with a swivel eye, made in AISI 316 stainless steel and sized No.1 to No.3. The size numbers correspond to E of 16 mm (5/8 in.), 19 mm (3/4 in.) and 22 mm (7/8 in.); overall length L is 83, 94 and 113 mm, with B of 30 to 44 mm, S of 10 to 15 mm and D of 5 to 7 mm.
The swivel stops twist building up in a rope or strap, which is why swivel eye snaps are standard on flag halyards, sailboat lines and pet or livestock leads. Grade 316 resists pitting in salt water better than 304. It carries no published load rating and should be used as general marine hardware, not for lifting or fall protection.
The fixed-eye equivalent is SS249. Power Honour can supply either under a private label, and the eye size or gate can be adapted to a customer drawing.
