SS162 316 Stainless Steel Double-End Carabine Hook

With a spring gate at each end, the SS162 double-end carabine hook joins two eyes, rings or lines directly, without a separate shackle. It is made from AISI 316 stainless steel and listed in a single size: L 105 mm, B 90 mm and C 10 mm, as shown on the dimension drawing.

Double-end hooks are commonly used to clip boat covers and fenders, to close gates and chains, to hang equipment and to join two lengths of rope. In each case the reason for choosing grade 316 is its resistance to chloride corrosion in outdoor and marine use. As no load rating is published, the hook should be specified for securing and connecting duties rather than for lifting or personal protection.
