SS2311 316 Stainless Steel Eye Hook with Latch

SS2311 pairs a fixed eye with an open hook and a latch across the throat, all in AISI 316 stainless steel. Two sizes are listed. The smaller has A 22 mm, B 8 mm, C 22 mm, D 10 mm, L 80 mm and L1 101.5 mm; the larger has A 29 mm, B 8 mm, C 27 mm, D 12 mm, L 98 mm and L1 120.0 mm.

The latch helps retain a ring, rope or chain link in the hook when the line goes slack, a common requirement on mooring lines, tie-downs, boat trailers and outdoor hanging points. Grade 316 is chosen for its resistance to salt water and chlorides. Eye hooks of this pattern are often associated with lifting, but no working load limit is published for SS2311, so it should be treated as securing hardware unless a rated version is agreed in writing.
