736H-SS Stainless Steel Chain Anchor with Hook

The 736H-SS assembly builds on the 735 chain anchor by adding a hook at the lower end. It consists of a seven-link chain, rings, bolts and the hook, all in stainless steel, and is available for 10 mm and 12 mm bolt holes. The photograph shows the chain with a snap-type hook fitted at its end.

A hook at the end of a chain lets climbers clip the rope straight into the station to lower off or to set up a top rope, without threading or untying. This makes chain-and-hook anchors popular on busy sport crags, climbing gyms with lead walls and training towers, where speed and ease of use matter. Stainless steel suits permanent outdoor use and resists corrosion better than plated steel.

Buyers should request the rated breaking strength of the chain, hook and assembly before specifying 736H-SS. An RFQ should also define bolt diameter, chain length, hook style and the certification route, for example EN 959 for rock anchors. Power Honour can supply 736H-SS as private-label hardware.
