B231K Aluminium Alloy Carabiner, 28 kN

B231K is formed from 11 mm aluminium alloy bar into a 113 x 72 mm frame and carries a listed breaking strength of 28 kN, among the highest for aluminium carabiners in this range. The gate opens to 22 mm and the connector weighs 75 g. The product photo shows a threaded locking sleeve.

The 11 mm bar and wide frame give a robust connector with room for a rope, a device and slings. That suits anchor building, belaying, rescue and rope-work systems where a high major-axis rating is wanted. B231K is the lightest of three B23 models that share the same frame, rating and opening: B232K (85 g) and B233K (80 g) are pictured with different locking sleeves.

When choosing between them, confirm the gate mechanism of each on the drawing, together with the certification your product must carry, such as EN 12275 or EN 362.
