AL-9628 Anodised Aluminium Climbing Carabiner

AL-9628 is listed as a climbing carabiner in anodised aluminium alloy. It measures 100 x 56 mm, weighs 60 g, opens to 15 mm and has a stated minimum breaking strength of 25 kN. The product photo shows a black frame with a red screw-type locking sleeve.

Anodising forms a hard oxide layer on the aluminium surface that improves corrosion and wear resistance and allows the frame to be coloured, which is why it is the standard finish for climbing hardware. The quoted figure is a minimum breaking strength, which is the more conservative way of stating a rating than a typical or average value.

The compact frame and modest gate opening suit single-item connections: a belay device, a personal anchor, a chalk bag or a tool. In an RFQ, state the certification required, anodised colour and marking. AL-9628 can be supplied as a private-label carabiner or modified to a customer drawing.
