A11096KNS Aluminium Key-Lock Straight-Gate Carabiner

A11096KNS is an aluminium alloy carabiner with a solid straight gate and a 20 mm opening. It weighs 40 g, the same as its bent-gate sibling, and its rated strengths are 24 kN major axis, 8 kN minor axis and 7 kN gate open.

Straight gates are the usual choice for the bolt end of a quickdraw because they are less likely than a bent gate to be levered open by a hanger. They are also used for racking cams, nuts and other equipment on a harness. The key-lock nose clears hangers and sling material without snagging.

Pair it with A11096KNB for the rope end to build a matched quickdraw, or with A11096KSG where a light screw-gate locker from the same family is wanted. It is a non-locking connector and is not intended for belaying or critical single-point connections.
