A11098KNS Aluminium Keylock Straight-Gate Carabiner

A straight solid gate, a keylock nose and a 20 mm gate opening define the A11098KNS. The aluminium alloy body weighs 40 g, and the listed breaking strengths are 25 kN, 8 kN and 9 kN, with 25 kN as the closed-gate major-axis figure.

On a quickdraw the straight gate usually sits at the bolt end, where it is less likely than a bent gate to be levered open against the hanger. The smooth keylock nose also helps the carabiner come off bolts and gear loops cleanly. Outside quickdraws it works as a racking carabiner for slings and protection.

The A11098 series offers bent, straight and screw gates, which simplifies stocking for brands that want matching quickdraw and locking carabiners.
