A104KTL Lightweight Aluminium Twist-Lock Carabiner

A lightweight carabiner, the A104KTL is made from aluminium alloy and closes with a twist-lock sleeve that rotates back into the locked position on its own when the gate shuts. It is rated for a working capacity of 8 kN.

A working capacity is not the same figure as the major-axis, minor-axis and gate-open breaking strengths quoted for climbing connectors, and no PPE standard is listed for this model. That positions the A104KTL for equipment and accessory attachment; a buyer who intends to use it as personal protective equipment should state the required standard so that the design and testing can be agreed before production.

For private-label programmes, the A104KTL can be supplied with customer marking and packaging, and the gate, sleeve or frame can be modified to a drawing where the application calls for it. An RFQ should include the intended use, the load figure to be declared and any marking requirements.
