SS0181 316 Stainless Steel Eye and Jaw Swivel

With an eye at one end and a jaw at the other, the SS0181 swivel connects two components and lets them rotate independently, preventing twist from building up in chain or rope. It is made in AISI 316 stainless steel in five sizes: 6, 8, 10, 13 and 16 mm, with overall length L from 66 mm to 188 mm and B, C and D dimensioned for each size.

Listed breaking loads (BL) are 1350 kg, 2500 kg, 3500 kg, 6000 kg and 10800 kg respectively. These are failure loads; working loads must be set lower using a safety factor suited to the application. Eye and jaw swivels are widely used between anchor and chain, on mooring and buoy lines, and in marine or architectural rigging where a fitting must turn. The jaw end pins directly onto a chain link, eye or padeye.
