The 2700A is a second American-pattern Grade 80 connecting link in the catalogue, offered alongside the 2800A with the same published size and load table. Its 3/8 in size is rated at 6600 lb and weighs 0.60 lb, the 5/8 in at 16500 lb, the 3/4 in at 23000 lb and the 7/8 in at 28750 lb. At the extremes, the 1/4 in link weighs 0.25 lb and the 1-1/4 in link 15.00 lb. A minimum breaking load of four times the working load limit applies throughout.
Typical applications include building chain slings, adding or replacing hooks and connecting chain legs to master links for overhead lifting and general rigging. It is a lifting component and should not be used as fall-arrest equipment.
