Three sizes make up the 2300A range. The 10-8 swivel is rated at 3.20 ton and weighs 1.30 kg, the 13-8 at 5.40 ton and 2.40 kg, and the 16-8 at 8.20 ton and 3.90 kg. Size codes give the chain diameter followed by the grade, and each size has a minimum breaking load of four times its working load limit.
A regular swivel sits between chain and a hook or other fitting so the load can be positioned without twisting the chain legs. Typical uses are chain slings, hoisting set-ups and general rigging in construction and industrial maintenance. The 2300A is lifting hardware and is not intended for personal fall protection.
