The A7311 is made from aluminium alloy. It is 240 mm long, opens to 56 mm, and has a listed breaking load of 22 kN.
A 240 mm aluminium hook is a common choice when a large opening is needed but the lanyard must stay light, for example on twin-leg lanyards where two hooks hang from the dorsal or sternal attachment. Users in construction, scaffolding, tower work and steel erection clip the hook around tube, bar or flange sections rather than a dedicated anchor.
