A728 Aluminium 7075 Captive-Eye Snap Hook, 22 mm Opening

The A728 is 138 x 71 mm with a 22 mm opening and a 23 mm captive eye. Its body is aluminium 7075, the gate aluminium 6061 and the latch SS304 stainless steel. Breaking strength is 30 kN and the hook weighs 122 g, slightly lighter than the 125 g A728-1, which has a 24 mm opening.

A 22 mm opening suits harness D-rings, anchor connectors and fixed eyes rather than structural members, so A728 is normally used where the hook clips to a defined attachment point. Its captive eye keeps the lanyard termination aligned with the hook's major axis.
