A723 is made from aluminium alloy and carries a 25 kN breaking strength. Its 26 mm opening is the largest among the A72x compact aluminium hooks in this category, yet the hook weighs only 120 g, 1 g more than the A722.
The extra few millimetres of opening make it easier to clip over thicker anchor fittings, wider D-rings or two components at once, while the hook stays light enough for twin-leg lanyards.
