314 Galvanised Steel Swivel Snap Hook

314 is made from galvanised steel and measures 170 mm in length. The gate opens to 20 mm and the listed breaking strength is 22 kN. A swivel at the eye end allows the connected rope, webbing or cable to turn without transferring twist into the line.

Swivel snap hooks of this size are used at the end of lanyards, self-retracting lifelines and restraint lines, and in general rigging where a rotating attachment prevents the line from kinking. The galvanised finish gives the steel protection against corrosion in outdoor and site conditions, which is useful for equipment stored on vehicles or left on scaffolds.
