316 Forged 7075 Aluminium Screw Snap Hook

Model 316 is forged from SAE 7075 aluminium alloy, one of the strongest aluminium grades in common use for safety hardware. Each hook is 100% proof loaded to 3600 lbs / 16 kN, and the minimum breaking load is 5000 lbs / 22.2 kN. It is a screw snap hook, meaning a snap hook with a screw-type locking element.

Proof loading every piece gives the lanyard assembler a recorded load check on each hook, and 7075 keeps the weight well below that of a forged steel hook with similar ratings. Typical applications are the anchor or user end of shock-absorbing lanyards, restraint lines and lifeline connections in construction, utilities and industrial maintenance.
