At 90 g, the A713KSG is one of the heavier carabiners in this range, and that material goes into a 25 kN major-axis rating with 9 kN for both minor-axis and gate-open loading. The body is aluminium alloy, the gate opens to 22.5 mm and locks with a screw sleeve, and the keylock nose prevents snagging when clipping or unclipping.

A carabiner of this size is well suited to anchor master points, attaching belay and rappel devices, and joining several slings or rope ends at one point, where a roomy frame keeps the connections from crowding each other.
