226 Sheet Alloy Steel D-Ring with Bar, 22.2 kN

The 226 adds a bar to the D-ring shape. It is made from sheet alloy steel, heat treated, and has a minimum breaking load of 5000 lbs (22.2 kN). Unlike several other sheet-steel D-rings in the category, no proof load is listed for this model.

A D-ring with a bar separates the webbing from the connector side of the ring, so the strap stays in its intended position and the connector has a clear attachment area. That is useful on harness back and side positions, on positioning belts and on webbing lanyards where the strap must not slide into the connector zone.
