Product details

Model 230 is a conventional D-ring cut from sheet alloy steel and heat treated after forming. Each piece is proof loaded to 3600 lbs (16 kN), and the minimum breaking load is 5000 lbs (22.2 kN).

Heat treatment is what allows a sheet-steel ring to reach these values: it raises the strength of the formed part so that a relatively flat section can carry harness-level loads. The 230 suits the dorsal and side positions of full body harnesses, the ends of webbing lanyards and the rings of positioning belts. Its proof-load and breaking figures are the same as the 116 and 227, so a harness range can use several ring shapes at one rating level.

Request a drawing to confirm dimensions, as none are listed, and state webbing width, plating, marking and the harness standard the end product must meet when asking for a quotation. Power Honour can supply the 230 for OEM and private-label harness programmes and can modify it to a customer drawing.
