A020 Forged Aluminium Swivel with Bearing, Anodised, 26 kN

A020 is forged in aluminium alloy, anodised as standard and fitted with a bearing between its two oval eyes. Its listed breaking strength is 26 kN. Forging gives the eyes a dense, continuous grain structure, which is why it is used for load-bearing aluminium hardware. Swivels like A020 are used where rotation would otherwise twist lanyards or ropes or spin a suspended worker, such as between a lanyard and harness, under a pulley or at a stretcher attachment. Elongated oval eyes keep connectors in line with the swivel axis. The catalogue entry carries a warning that the swivel is intended for PPE use only, must be used, inspected and maintained according to its PPE instructions, and must not be modified or altered in any way.
