The 611 rope grab is steel, zinc plated, and weighs 487 g. It accepts synthetic rope from Ø14 to 16 mm, and it is listed with CE certification to EN 353-2.
Under EN 353-2, a guided type fall arrester travels along a flexible anchor line, usually a vertical rope hung from an anchor above the work area, and locks onto it if the user falls. The 14 to 16 mm range covers the thicker lifelines used on construction sites, scaffolds, roofs and industrial structures, and gives some flexibility in rope choice within the approved specification.
EN 353-2 conformity applies to the device together with the anchor line it was tested on, so obtain the full rope specification, including construction, diameter and maximum length, and any limits on the connecting element between the grab and the harness.
