2450TL Steel Safety Carabiner, 45 kN

2450TL is a steel safety carabiner with a 27 mm gate opening. Its breaking strength is rated at 45 kN, 7 kN and 7 kN. Carabiners are commonly marked with three strength values, usually major axis with the gate closed, minor axis and gate open. The drawing should be checked to match each value to its loading direction.

At 45 kN, this carabiner has a wide margin over the forces in a single-person fall arrest, which is why carabiners of this class are used in rescue and haul systems, as anchor connectors on steelwork, and in rigging where loads can be higher or several components share one connector. The 27 mm opening clears thick anchor fittings, eyebolts and webbing slings.

Request the drawing to confirm length, width, weight, finish and the gate mechanism. Include your target standard and marking requirements in the RFQ. The 2450SG is listed with the same figures.
