2448TL Steel Safety Carabiner, 22.63 mm Opening

The 2448TL is a steel safety carabiner. Its gate opening is 22.63 mm, and its breaking strength is 35 kN, 7 kN and 7 kN. Carabiners are commonly marked with three strength values, usually major axis with the gate closed, minor axis and gate open. Confirm the direction for each value on the drawing.

An opening of just over 22 mm is a practical all-round size: it clips readily onto harness D-rings, anchor slings, eyebolts and lanyard eyes. Steel safety carabiners of this class are used by makers of lanyards, restraint lines and fall-arrest kits for construction and industry.
