2448SG Steel Safety Carabiner, 35 kN

2448SG is made from steel and listed with a 16 mm gate opening and breaking strengths of 35 kN, 7 kN and 7 kN. Carabiners are commonly marked with three strength values, usually major axis with the gate closed, minor axis and gate open. Confirm on the drawing which value applies to which axis.

Compact steel safety carabiners are used to join the small components of a fall-protection system: lanyard to harness, energy absorber to connector, anchor strap to lanyard. Steel resists abrasion and handling damage on construction and industrial sites, giving a long service life in daily use.

Its sibling 2448TL opens to 22.63 mm, while the 2480 models share the 16 mm opening.
