The SS980 overhead trolley rolls along an 8 mm wire rope on a stainless steel 304 sheave fitted with a ball bearing, so the user's connection follows them with little resistance. Its case is also stainless steel 304. It has a breaking strength of more than 15 kN and a net weight of 646 g. Two gate opening options are offered: (A) 5.5 ± 0.3 mm or (B) 4.7 ± 0.3 mm.
Trolleys of this type are the moving anchorage on an overhead lifeline, connecting the user's lanyard or self-retracting device to the cable. They suit overhead systems over loading bays, platforms and maintenance areas, and the SS980 is part of the via ferrata lifeline range alongside the FB-3000 and FB-8000 brackets.
Choose the gate opening to match the cable and brackets in the system, and confirm that the trolley's rating fits the system design prepared by a competent person. The SS980 can be supplied as OEM or private-label product, or modified to a customer drawing.
