Where an overhead lifeline has to change direction, the FB-8000 corner bracket carries the 8 mm wire rope around a 90 degree inside turn. It is made from stainless steel, which suits permanent installations exposed to weather, and it belongs to the overhead lifeline components of the via ferrata range, alongside the FB-3000 cable bracket and the SS980 and SS977 trolleys.
Overhead lifelines run above the user, who is connected by a trolley and lanyard or self-retracting device, and they are used over loading bays, walkways, maintenance areas and other routes where there is no suitable anchorage at foot level. A corner bracket keeps the line continuous so the user can follow a bend without disconnecting.
The safety of any lifeline depends on the complete system being designed, installed and inspected by a competent person to the applicable standard, so buyers should check bracket compatibility with the trolley and cable they intend to use. The FB-8000 can be supplied as OEM or private-label product, or modified to a drawing.
