Product details

A choice of material sets the FB-2500 apart from the other brackets in this range: it is offered in stainless steel 304 or stainless steel 316. It is an intermediate bracket compatible with 8 mm wire rope and is used on horizontal via ferrata lifelines.

Intermediate brackets support the cable between end anchors, controlling sag and deflection and keeping the line at a usable height. Grade 304 suits most inland outdoor installations, while 316, with its molybdenum content, is generally chosen for coastal, marine or chemically aggressive environments. Typical locations include roof edges, walkways, bridges, gantries and via ferrata traverses.

Buyers should specify the stainless steel grade, confirm the base and fixings against the substrate, and check compatibility with the shuttle in use, such as the Glider-8, including whether it must pass the bracket without being detached. Bracket spacing and loads should come from the system design by a competent person, and the installed system should be assessed against the applicable standard. The FB-2500 can be supplied as OEM or private label, or adapted to a drawing.
